Dubai, Feb 19 : The former students of prestigious St. Aloysius college and St. Agnes college,Mangaluru gathered at CrownePlaza, Dubai at the Aloysian Agnesian Alumni meet 2017.
It was an evening to cherish for the young and old alumni of these two reputed institutions and celebrate the spirit of their alma mater in the presence of the representatives of the two colleges.

The programme began with lighting of lamps by the guests Fr. Swebert D'Silva, principal and Fr. Dion Vaz, rector of St Aloysius College and Sr Olivia, ex-principal and Dr. Sr. Jeswina, principal of St Agnes College. The chair persons Vincent and Rosetta Pereira, and the committee members Anita Lobo, Anita Pinto, Elizabeth Noronha, Geanette D'souza, Jacintha Mendonca, Mariel Andrade, Marissa Lobo Biddappa, Rowena Pereira, Shobha Mendonca, Vanita Karkada, Abdul Majeed, Ashith Pinto, Desmond Goveas, James Mendonca, John Samuel, Mervin D'souza, Rajesh Sequeira Roshan Chacko, Roy Alvares, Royston Fernandes, Wilson Samuel were present on the dais.
Vincent Pereira, on behalf of the organizing committee welcomed the gathering. Thereafter, Fr. Swebert D'Silva, Fr. Dion Vaz, Sr Olivia, and Dr. Sr. Jeswina spoke and thanked the alumni association for their generous contributions to the institutions during the past years. They also briefed how the generosity of the alumnus is helping the needy and poor students studying in these institutions. Facts an figures were submitted to the attendees concerning the development carried on by the institutions due to the moral and financial support and assistance of Aloysian and Agnesian alumnus. Fr. Swebert also presented a documentary concerning the growth of St. Aloysius college during the past years.
''Fusion again" band made the crowd go wild on the dance floor. DJ Joel enthralled the audience with his mesmerizing tunes. Dance performance by Sandesh dance troupe was appreciated by the crowd. The organizing committee members presented a line dance during the programme.
Various spot games, quizzes, raffle draw, Jive competitions were held and prizes were given to the winners. The sponsors too were felicitated. Rosetta Pereira proposed vote of thanks on behalf of the organizing committee.
KEF Holdings were the main patron of this event. Globelink West Star Shipping LLC were the associate patron and UAE exchange were the co-partner of this event. Al Ghaith Oilfield Supplies and Services Co. LLC, ICICI bank, Ivory Grand Hotel Apartmennts, Land Traders, Leens Nursery and Steps and Strings Music and Dance Institute were support patrons for the evening.
